sigh

They looked slow and tired.

They played like it.

Maybe in the spring, when the Twins have got some games under their belts, I'll start blogging again.

The Timberwolves sure aren't giving me any reason to continue...

Vikings!!

Now, THAT was a pleasant surprise.

The great part was that you could see the game falling apart late, like always, BUT they suddenly threw caution to the wind and went long instead of another stupid ineffective sweep play.

AND it connected!

Then they went for another stupid, ineffective sweep play.

And surprisingly won on a nice pass to the end zone.

As my dad used to say, "I didn't look for that."

With teams like the Saints and Patriots gone it gives me slight hope.

I don't expect a Super Bowl win this year, but just winning  a playoff game on the road against such a highly ranked opponent made this a great season already.

Perhaps there is still more to come...

Go Vikings!!!

Football

The Vikings have a chance to prove today they are better than most teams.

My guess is they won't. Their defense has been less than stellar, and their offense has been inconsistent. I've only been watching about half of any given game this season.

Today will be no different.

Most major starters had a rest last weekend. We'll see if that helps.

At least we don't face Green Bay again today.

sigh

The Vikings didn't see any reason to go for the win yesterday.

I didn't see any reason to watch it.

It was just like a preseason game.

sigh

You need a running attack.

You can't have your two best backs injured and expect to win.

Vikings!!

I couldn't tell if the Vikings defense was really good or if San Diego's offense was really bad, though I'm guessing it was more of the Chargers shooting themselves in the foot time and time again with those turnovers than it was anything different the Vikings defense was doing.

The worst news is that Dalvin Cook had a shoulder injury and may be out awhile.

Fun to watch. Still very much in the hunt for a playoff spot.

The Packers and Bears already beat us this season, so the next two weeks are not a given by any means.

Go Vikings!!!
