68 Teams

I still can't believe anyone thinks that so many teams are needed to determine who is the best college team in  the country.

And then I remember gambling is the number one sport in the world.

And the more money that's at stake the more interest there is.

I like upsets as much as anyone, but if each of these teams DESERVES to be there, they should have random bracketing.

No seeds.

THAT would be a tournament worth watching.

Imagine if the current top seeds had to face each other earlier in the tournament because of random pairings.

Like most, I'll catch parts of some games early, and watch bigger chunks of later round games, while always rooting for the underdog.

The problem is that if you bet on the best teams, you will rarely, if ever, root for the underdog.

And in a tournament this size, that's the only normal reason to watch.

Vegas and bookies love this time of year. It produces a type of madness in them...
