Justin Morneau signed a one-million one-year deal with the White Sox yesterday. It's prorated so he will only earn about 600,000 for the remainder of the season.
He then promptly went on the 15 day disabled list. The Sox are desperate for a good left-handed hitter, but no one expects Morneau to be ready until after the All-Star break. He had elbow surgery in December after having a sore wrist all of last season.
He says he feels better than any time last year. He's only 35, but injuries, including concussions, have taken their toll.
