There's been much debate about the possibility of dividing California into 6 smaller states because one is way too big to effectively mange.
Might I suggest a compromise? Divide it into 4 states. That would bring the total states to 53. And 53 states would be a prime number.
Why is that important?
Because that would be...
...indivisible...
just like the pledge of allegiance tells us.
