Twins Bats Come Alive, Mauer Hurt

Ricky Nolasco was good last night, but the pitching for the Twins has been pretty good lately even with the losses.

The problem, as we all know has been opposing pitching being much better and our hitting has been practically nonexistent.

At least for one night, that changed. 15 hits produced 10 runs. Throw in a couple of KC errors and you have the recipe for a blowout.

Sadly Joe Mauer, who has actually been one of the few bright spots in the line up as of late (Mauer?! I KNOW, who would have thunk it?) strained an oblique last night after hitting a two run double in the fourth. As the recently returned Trevor Plouffe will tell you, those things take a while to heal properly.

Twins are gradually sinking in the central, but at least the White Sox are behind us again.
