One hit through eight innings. That was a very good outing for Milone. The Twins scoring him 5 insurance runs in the eighth came in handy.
Bases loaded, bottom of the ninth, one out, tying run at the plate for the Tigers?
That's when I turned it off.
I needn't have worried. Brandon Kintler struck out the last two Tigers he faced, and the Twins pull out a 6-2 win.
Whew.
An update from yesterday's blog: According to sources, Paul Molitor will remain the Twins manager for the foreseeable future no matter who they hire as GM.
I guess I don't mind. There's a lot wrong that no manager can fix.
