By beating the number ONE Packers last week, the Vikes moved up to number 7 in ESPN's power rankings. This week's opponent, the Carolina Panthers, are number FOUR, and they have averaged over 40 points in their last seven home games.
The Panthers don't seem as good as last year's team, but the Vikes haven't given us enough games this year to see how good or bad they really are either. Losing your top quarterback and running back by week number three can puts a damper on your upward mobility.
Rankings are just a shot in the dark at this point, as demonstrated by Green Bay last week.
