Number "one," Kentucky got beat by number "two" Michigan State in college basketball last night. It was the first real game of the season for both.
I say this every year, but it bears repeating: DON'T rate any teams until they've played a month or so. EARLY season ratings don't mean squat. Once teams have played 8-10 games, do what ever you want, but ranking them this early simply doesn't matter. Top teams will play 35 games this year, and will make the NCAA's gigantic tournament no matter what. See what they have to offer, THEN rank 'em.
This isn't college football, where wins and losses MATTER.
It's just basketball.
