Ponder's first pass last night was a horrible interception. From that time until he injured his shoulder going for a touchdown late in the third quarter he LOOKED like an NFL quarterback. A good one.
Cassel did his job as backup. The defense got better in the second half. And they finally had a successful last-second goal line stand.
I was going to watch the Stanford/ Oregon game last night during commercial breaks figuring it was going to be the better game. It wasn't. The Vikings/Redskins game had ALL the drama.
And the Vikings won. Minnesota might be a 2-7 team, but last night they gave me a reason to watch. That's all I've ever asked for. I actually hope Ponder is healthy enough to play in 10 days.
That's how good he was last night.
Go Vikings!
I saw the game was on NFL so I didn't bother.
