The Twins went with a talented prospect for their left-handed starting needs yesterday, acquiring 23 year-old Sean Gilmartin from the pitching-rich Atlanta Braves. They gave up Ryan Doumit and his remaining $3.5 million contract to do it.
Gilmartin was injured much of last year and had lousy stats. We won't know if this was a good trade for awhile.
