Vikings Down Another Tight End

John Carlson is officially done for the season. He's been placed on injured reserve because of his third career concussion. We lost Kyle Rudolph to a broken foot earlier this season.

I'm at least still interested in the Vikings today. Matt Cassel has been good enough to be worth watching the last two weeks. Adrian Peterson is expected to play. I'm still not sure if I'm excited about that or not. Yes, he gains a lot of yards on a few of his carries, but he stalls out far too many drives with his big losses. And if we rely on him more than Cassel, we'll just have another "run it up the middle three times and punt" type of day, You know, the kind of games we've been having for most of the last decade.

At least there will be other games to watch if that one is a dud. There are still plenty of good teams battling for the remaining playoff spots
