Twins

The Twins are starting to make minor moves now.

They decided to sign Jason Kubel to a minor league deal yesterday when no one else would offer him a major league contract. A year ago I would have been excited about this signing, but Kubel's stock has dropped so far in a year that nobody wants him.  I suppose if he's healthy he could fight for one of the outfield jobs or DH. He left the Twins two season's ago when he complained that Target Field was "too big" to hit homeruns in. I'm afraid the Twins having Kubel will stop them from using Arcia as they should. The kid's upside is much greater than Kubel's.

The Twins also got rid of Liam Hendriks yesterday, Hendricks will now be a Cub. We have lots of pitchers that we will no longer be using. Hendricks is only the first to move. I always thought he was the best pitcher who never won games. He's still young, maybe a good pitching coach will help become a winner.
