The Twins lost another heartbreaker yesterday. We missed the ending because of a unique sporting event strategy.
Because the USA women's soccer squad was going against Japan yesterday, and we had no real interest in the game (it's just soccer after all) we decided to build our interest.
We bought Tora! Tora! Tora! (the movie about the Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbor that got us involved in WWII) and watched that first.
By the time that movie was over we couldn't wait to see the U.S. destroy Japan in the World Cup.
It worked!
USA! USA! USA!
