Nolasco Earns First Win

We spent yesterday afternoon at my aunt's house watching the Twins' latest victory. Nolasco threw a lot of balls, but only walked one in eight innings. It was his first truly major league performance for the Twins. He looked good giving up just one run.

On the flip side, it was fun watching US take advantage of another team's misfortune for a change. The Twins scored 6 unearned runs in the second, and that really was all they needed with Nolasco's strong start.

I also take back what I said about Dozier in yesterday's blog. Though batting less than .200 for a lead-off guy is pretty bad, he hit his fourth home run yesterday, so that gives his bat some value.

And it was nice seeing Mauer hit one out yesterday. His first extra-base hit of the season was a three-run shot.

For one very pleasant spring afternoon, all was right with the world.
