Mauer had two doubles early last night, but with a chance to tie the game with runners on second and third in the top of the fifth, he struck out. That was the story of the game for the Twins. They outhit the Brewers 12-9 but none of the hits came at opportune times.
Gibson wasn't horrible but he has won just one game in his last EIGHT starts. That's telling in itself.
I pretty much expect the rest of the season to go south from here on out.
