This is the time of year when the Twins try to avoid arbitration by giving their players a little less than they are asking for. Tommy Milone signed Thursday. Eduardo Nunez, Eduardo Escobar, and Casey Fien signed Friday. And they are continuing their talks with Trevor Plouffe and Kevin Jepsen. The Twins rarely let it come down to the actual arbitration number, so expect to see both signed to a new contract any day now.
The Twins are experts at avoiding spending too much money.
