Hughes looked good for 5 innings last night, but ended up reverting back to his normal self before getting an out in the sixth. That's 16 starts since last year in which he has not got a win, the longest streak like that in the bigs. His ERA stands at 7.20 on the season.
I'd rather talk about TV.
The Shield on ABC has become one of the best shows on television the last two weeks. Characters you thought were good guys suddenly reveal who they really are and those you thought were the villains are suddenly dead at the hands of the true villains. Shield is in shambles as the spy thriller builds towards a great season-ender. FINALLY it's like a great Marvel comic book instead of a Saturday morning cartoon.
AND Person of Interest on CBS just got even better. I can't even mention what happened last night without spoiling years of story lines. I can't wait to see what they do next. If you're not watching, start from the beginning. It's a great ride. Just don't start where they are right now, you'll miss too much.
I watched it a couple weeks ago and actually like it this time. The one where they were on the train.
