Twins Win

I have no idea how much longer the impressive scoring machine known as the 2014 Minnesota Twins will remain rolling. I just know that with pitchers like Ricky Nolasco in our rotation, this is the ONLY chance we have at winning ball games.

Case in point: The Twins got off to a great start yesterday getting 3 runs off four walks and a single. They scored another run in the second to take a 4-0 early lead. But Nolasco quickly put Tampa Bay right back in it by throwing pitch after pitch right down the middle of the plate.

And all day long you could see Suzuki setting up low and inside or low and outside and Nolasco never coming close to the target.

And we got Nolasco for his supposed control!

The end result was another four hour marathon of hellacious pitching and the Twins squeaking out another 9-7 scoring fest.

Don't get me wrong, the win was great.

But that starting pitching was so bad.

IF the Twins continue playing great offense this weekend, they may find themselves in first place by Monday. They are only one back of the Tigers at this point.

All those walks lead to one interesting stat:
