Twins Attendance

Target Field was new and fresh for three seasons. Now attendance is back to Metrodome numbers.

They did not sell out the home opener this year. They had a few thousand seats left. Since then, they've averaged about 21,000 a game leaving a half empty stadium. And this when the frenzy of a new season makes Twins tickets the hottest seat in town.

It was almost impossible to find seats for ANY game the whole season just two years ago. Now scalpers can't give their tickets away.

The fans are officially leaving the Twins in droves. That new stadium smell just doesn't cut it any more. At some point the Twins will have to put a winner on the field again.

I always said fans didn't want an outdoor stadium, what they wanted was a winner.

Minnesota now has one of the best stadiums in the league. By the end of the season it will be practically empty, a shrine to the foolishness of giving people what they think they want.

But the grass does look nice, I'll give you that.

The grass looks nice.
