Cubs and Dodgers Tie Their Series 1-1

The Dodger's Chase Utley slid high and late into second with the score tied in the seventh. He was ruled safe but Met's shortstop, Ruben Tejada, left the field with a broken leg.

I'll let major league officials decide this one. I'll expect the Mets to retaliate on Utley somewhere before the series is over, though. Baseball often extracts Old Testament justice (an eye for an eye) rather than New Testament forgiveness (turning the other cheek).

If Utley did it on purpose or not, I would not want to be Chase Utley right now. It's not just the players but the New York fans who will want revenge.

And we live in a scary world.

The Dodgers went on to win. That'll make all the New Yorkers even angrier.
