Park Hits Slam, Plays First

Park has now started all five Twins preseason games. To say that's unusual is an understatement. Though it was nice that he hit a grand slam in his first at-bat yesterday, he also played first base for the first time. Reports are that he plays first a lot like Matthew LeCroy played catcher for the Twins.

He has a glove, but you wouldn't say he knows how to use it very well. Tom Kelly, pretty much recovered from his stroke, has taken it upon himself, to work with Park on that. The problem is that his translator is not always with Park, so no one knows how much of TK's coaching is getting through.

Park, like Sano, is going to be an ongoing project in the field.

We're all happy there's still plenty of spring ball left to work with them both.
