Vikings Making News

In the last week alone, the Vikes have been making fans excited. The gave Marcus Sherels a new 2-year deal. They signed Alex Boone, San Francisco's 6 foot 8 guard to a 4-year deal, and they're talking about signing Andre Smith, the former Bengal right tackle, as a possible replacement for the still questionable Phil Loadholt, who is coming off that achilles tendon tear.

The funniest news?  Officially, the Vikings new stadium will be on Chicago Avenue, the team has requested that the city of Minneapolis change the name of that street to Vikings Way. At least their small part of it. The stadium cost over half a billion dollars, I think the city will probably make one last consideration and compromise there.
