With all the rumors swirling about Liriano heading to the Giants before the trade deadline we all knew something was up.
That he went to the White Sox late last night was disappointing. Liriano, except for his last start, has been very good lately. He was scheduled to start for the Twins today and I was hoping he'd have another great outing BEFORE the trade. Now he'll end up facing us four or five times a year.
If he really does have his mojo back, that's the last thing we want to see.
At the same time, another couple of bad outings in a row for the Sox will make the Twins look like geniuses for giving him to our hated rivals. Only time will tell. I'm just glad we didn't give Liriano a long-term contract. His arm probably isn't in this for the long haul either way.
