Baseball News

Mashiro Tanaka, the amazing Japanese import for the Yankees, has a partially torn elbow ligament. He should be back in six weeks or so. IF the rest doesn't heal it, Tommy John surgery is the next step.
It's hard to work an arm that hard for so long without consequences.

The amazing scoreless innings streak by Dodger Clayton Kershaw came to end last night when the Padres scored off him in the sixth inning. The streak lasted 41 innings, so he missed former Dodger's great, Orel Hershiser's streak of 59 straight.  Kershaw still won the game 2-1. Former Twins knuckleballer R.A. Dickey had a streak of 44 for the Mets in 2012.

Justin Morneau WILL be in the home run hitting contest at Target Field next week. Go Justin!
