Twins Take Series

Boston's struggles could not have come at a better time for the Twins. And Oswaldo Arcia is playing like he belongs here.

Kevin Correia wasn't great last night. He allowed 3 runs in a little over five innings, throwing 99 pitches in the process, but he kept us close enough to allow the Twins another big rally inning in the top of the sixth led by a two-run homer by Arcia.

The Twins started the series 4 1/2 games back of first place in the A.L. Central. They are now just 2 1/2 back. Taking three out of four from the Red Sox IN Boston is a big deal.

Fun game. Great series. And just in time to head back to Minnesota to play the much improved Orioles tonight. The Twins are sending Pelfrey to the mound. Based on Mike's last outing, I'm actually excited to see this game tonight.

And the Twins are once more ABOVE .500.

Did I mention that Arcia celebrated his 22nd birthday last night? The kid is just 22-years old. Let's hope that Hicks starts looking like this in the near future as well. Detroit may be the best team in baseball this season, but the Twins are still in this 31 games in.

That's a lot longer than  I thought we would be in it.

Go Twins!
