The Vikings have finally decided that Joe does not fit into their QB plans. That's fine with me. If they expect him to be a regular pocket passer, everyone will just be left disappointed.
But this guy is seriously gifted athletically. IF he is given time to develop and he can catch the ball consistently (Ponder may make that difficult) he could be one of the all-time greats. And he'll probably get to return kicks now that Harvin is gone as well. Can't wait to see his speed with the afterburners kicked in.
It will be nice seeing him used with some option plays as well. My hopes for the Vikings this coming season just got much higher.
Ponder is still the biggest question mark. I guess he can hand the ball off a lot of end-a-rounds to Webb and Patterson when not handing it of to Peterson.
Patterson and Peterson sounds nice. Webb makes it sound a whole lot sweeter.
