Another Draft is Over

The NFL makes a big deal out of the draft.

The way I look at it, it's a three day game of poker, and the winner or winners won't know if they won or lost for several more years.

And nobody will ever admit to losing.

It's curious that the Vikings didn't draft cornerback help until the later rounds. Once you draft the 155th best player in the draft or the 188th, it's harder and harder to think that you drafted someone under the radar that's going to surprise everyone.

Basically, through it all, Matt Cassel will be our starter next year. Ponder will be his back-up if something happens to him and Teddy Bridgewater will be riding the bench until he's ready.

And we hope there will be a few of our picks that can contribute as starters right away.

Just like every year.
