Twins Swept

The Giants have a lot better pitching than the Twins.

That sums up the weekend series more than anything else, but if you want details, here's some:

Mauer struck out 3 times. Nolasco gave up 7 earned runs in less than 5 innings to see his ERA for the season go to 6.12. And THEIR pitcher, Madison Bumgarner lowered his ERA to 3.15 and hasn't lost in May.

In other Twins news, Chris Colabello, who had a great April, has been sent back down to the minors to make room for a returning Josh Willingham. Chris Herrmann is also retuning to the minors so that we can give Oswaldo Arcia another chance.

Texas clubbed Detroit again yesterday, so that series with San Francisco didn't hurt us in the standings too much. The bad news? We play Texas today.

Cool? Josh Beckett pitched the majors first no-hitter yesterday. It was also his first career no-hitter.
