Minnesota Looks Good

Both the Vikings and Twins looked very good last night.

The Twins waited until the 10th inning to blow away division-leading Kansas City while the Vikings, with Teddy Bridgewater at the helm looked great early, even though the field conditions were less than optimal.

It's nice to see the Vikings looking sharp the entire preseason. While most coaches say wins and losses in preseason don't mean anything, I've noticed a trend over the years that teams that win effortlessly in preseason are often the best teams in the regular season as well. IT'S NOT ABOUT "MOMENTUM,"(something I don't even think truly exists in terms of sport) it's about playing sharp consistent football with few errors and training yourself to do that consistently.

IF the Vikings stay healthy, they appear to finally have a coaching staff that understands that philosophy. As a result, we should have a good year.

The Twins season is winding down. They can't get consistent scoring or consistent pitching, but last night, they scored a bunch of runs again. Good for them. As long as they get some good pitching and some good hitting I still get some entertainment from them.

I'm starting to get the feeling they might not win the division this year, but they've got a few gems on the roster right now. I'm looking forward to how it all may sort out next season.

Go Vikings! Go Twins!
