Wolves and Cavs Near End of Love Trade

It LOOKS like the Love trade is a done deal, but NBA rules make it difficult to pull the switch. It LOOKS like Love will get a 5-year deal worth $120 at the end of this year if he agrees to the deal on the table, but officially they can't really HAVE that deal until the end of this coming season.

If all goes well, Love will be with the Cavs for 5-6 years, LeBron will sign an extension on his current 2-year deal, AND the WOLVES will get this year's number one draft pick, last year's number one draft pick, AND next year's number one  draft pick from Cleveland.

It all depends on NBA rules that won't let Love negotiate until after he's a Cav for awhile. Supposedly this is to protect the players.

But it sure makes it hard on the teams who want to "complete" a deal.

I probably won't mention this again until a deal is actually made.

I think the NBA wants to limit negative speculation, and you know me, I want to always be accommodating to those in authority.
