There's an interesting story developing in the world of soccer. Indictments and arrests against every single top FIFA official started yesterday. It seems that the world governing body is getting rich off bribes from cities and sponsors for all the World Cup activity.
Up until now, no one has done anything about the organization known for its 20 plus years of political corruption. Picture them as the the mafia of sports. More details will be revealed in the days ahead.
With tens of billions of dollars at stake, and no accountability, the world is starting to see how much officials have freely skimmed off for themselves, to the detriment of youth leagues worldwide.
