College Football Playoffs

As early as 2014, college football could have a 4-team playoff.  I've always said I wouldn't mind a plus-one type situation if two teams finished the season undefeated. This would kind of be like that.

I still think it will hurt the regular season games and what they mean. Right now, a big loss early could take you OUT of the championship game at the end. In effect, college football's season IS a sudden death playoff the entire season. But four teams is way better than 8 or 16. Until of course when they add more teams sometime in the not too distant future. Once the door is open there will be no stopping it, because all the 10-1 or 9-2 teams will say they should be in it too and it's not fair that they are not.

College football has the best "playoff" system right now, anything they do will simply make it worse. But gambling casual fans will love the brackets.

I hate it when idiots rule.
