R.A. Dickey

Two former Twins pitchers have already thrown no-hitters this season (Humber and Santana.) Last night, it almost happened again. Official scorers called what was probably an error a hit last night and as a result the Met's R.A Dickey got a one-hitter instead of a no-hitter.

sigh

I like baseball, but the coolness factor of a no-hitter and a perfect game in the same night would have been off the charts. As usual it was an official call that stopped it from happening.

I love baseball. I just hate officials.

Dickey has been outstanding for the Mets this season. he had his 32 2/3 inning scoreless streak ended last night but still won 9-1. There is talk of him making the All-Star game. Another Twin who got away. For those who don't remember, he was our knuckleballer.
