Is there anybody watching the game last night that didn't predict Jim Thome's 3-run homer in the top of the third last night? I changed the channel as soon as he came up because I didn't want to see it. Jim ended up with NINE RBI in the three game series. Yeah, he likes hitting in Target Field.
It's weird though, after inter-league play is over, he'll have to sit on the bench the rest of the season as a pinch hitter for the Phils. He NEEDS to be on an American League club. Perhaps he'll still take a trade so he can keep playing. His purpose just ran out in Philly.
His back will not let him play in the field.
