NFL Cheerleaders

These women aren't paid much. The Oakland Raiders Cheerleaders sign a straight $1,250 a season deal at the beginning of the year, and are paid at the end of the season.

They are suing the Raiders for more money.

From the Raider's perspective, they say they are totally up front about the deal. HUNDREDS try out to become famous and get noticed. They don't force any of them to be there and there are lots of women who will gladly replace them.

This isn't NFL level talent. There is no draft. It's a part-time fun job for those who like to dance. They are best compared to mascots, and they get to see NFL games from the sidelines. Fans would PAY for their proximity to the field.

And they aren't needed one way or the other.

The courts will probably make them millionaires.

What a country.
