Sano

Miguel Sano is one of the huge prospects in the Twins system. At 20 years old, he's being groomed to be the Twins' third baseman of the future. They were even thinking of giving him major league time with the club this year. BUT his elbow is starting to show signs of needing major surgery. Tommy John surgery. It's not rare for positions players to need this surgery, but it is rare that it is needed when so young.

The Twins shut him down this winter in hopes that the elbow would heal naturally, but it's still causing him trouble. It's now looking like he'll need the surgery sooner rather  than later. And it will cost him a year or more of his career.

At least he's young. It looks like we're going to have wait for another year or so for his power to be on display for us.
