Aaron Hicks

Is this a sign of things to come? Aaron Hicks was tied with the worst batting average in baseball going into last night's' game. Even the .150 average he left the game with is nothing to brag about. Most players are considered awful if they hit .200.

But what he did last night to raise his average 13 points was pretty spectacular. Those two center field homeruns were SHOTS. It's simply not easy to hit a homerun in Target Field if your name isn't Thome or Willingham, but Hicks made it look easy last night. That coupled with Hernandez' 5 pretty good innngs and a 4 RBI night by the ever improving Justin Morneau, and the Twins managed to blowout the cellar-dwelling White Sox.

Oh, and Hicks also made an incredible leaping catch over the centerfield wall last night robbing Adam Dunn (the other worst average in baseball) of a two-run homer. Making catches like that at Target Field is a LOT harder than it was at the Metrodome. The wall is so much higher. Ben Revere isn't even tall enough to make that catch.

More please.
