A few nights ago an umpiring crew failed to call a homerun a homerun AFTER watching a replay of the play. EVERYBODY else, including TV crews from both teams and everybody watching at home could see it was a homerun.
The refs, after conferring, simply blew the call.
This same umping crew, one day later, let a relief pitcher come in and warm up and then LEAVE the game before pitching to anyone. That's another big no-no.
Baseball decided to do something with these awful umps yesterday. The crew chief was suspended for two games and the rest of the crew was fined.
Justice is sweet.
