Liam Hendriks

We all know the Twins are having one of their worst seasons of all-time. But even in theses horrible times there are reasons for optimism. Felix Hernadez may be the best pitcher in all of baseball right now, that he shut the Twins out is not a surprise.

What was a nice surprise last night, however, is that he was outpitched last night by a 23 year=old Aussie named Liam Hendriks. One bad pitch, a homerun ball, was all Hendiks gave up last night. Yes, we lost 1-0, but Hendriks could be another potentially great starter for the Twins in the future. He still has not won a game at the major league level, but he sure looks like he knows what he's doing out there.

The Three D's (Diamond, DeVries, and Deduno) have all showed major flashes of brilliance this year. Hendriks can now be added to that list. The present is putrid, but there are a few rays of hope shining in the darkness.
