DUI of the Day

Superstar running back Michael Turner decided the best way to celebrate the team's Monday night win over the Broncos was to get drunk and go driving.

The NFL will, as always, do nothing because the nearly 8,000 deaths so far this year are nothing compared to using diet pills to help players lose water weight.

8,000 PREVENTABLE deaths and our society still does nothing to make drunk driving a serious crime. IF major league sports set the example perhaps that would change.

8,000 PREVENTABLE deaths.

Over 9,000 every single year.

We have literally spent trillions of dollars in war efforts to avenge the less than 3,000 who died in the September 11th attacks more than a decade ago. And I don't take their deaths lightly...

... but we lose more than three times that every year on our nation's highways and everybody looks the other way. PREVENTABLE deaths.

Let's stop the highway terrorists next. Let's look at them as they are. Let's label them correctly.

And let's get them off the streets and in jails where they belong.
