2.14

That's the ERA number for the Twins starters for the last 11 ball games. At the same time, the Twins have a record of 5-5 in their last 10 games.

The difference? Arcia, Willingham, and Morales HAD an impact early upon their arrival earlier this month. Lately? Not so much. If not for the clutch hitting Joe Mauer (?!) in the last couple of ballgames, the Twins record wouldn't even be that good.

They also miss Plouffe who is on the disabled list with ab/back problems.

And just when you thought the Tigers had went in the tank with a bullpen ERA of 4.79 (29th in the majors), THEY decide to win THREE straight again.

Net result: The Twins are 5 back, or about where they were 10 games ago.

The more things change, the more things stay the same.
