Aaron Hicks

In another depressing development, Aaron Hicks, who officially gave up switch hitting a month ago while on the DL, has decided to resume switch hitting, now that he is recovering from yet another stint on the DL.

He can barely hit at a major league level from the right side of the plate. He can't hit from the left side at all.

Ultimately, I think the Twins are just waiting for Byron Buxton to mature. He is the Twins future. Even Eddie Rosario is a better choice at center in the short term, but he's not ready yet either.

Hicks is not in their long-term plans at all.

And that is as it should be.

Sam Fuld can stay where he is at in the meantime. He's better than the indecisive Hicks.
