World Cup

I was around yesterday afternoon and early evening so I gave the team USA game a chance. We went from a one goal deficit to a 2-1 lead while I watched. And then with 15 seconds left in "extra made-up ref time" (Just another example of the stupidity of soccer) Portugal scored to tie the game and change the destination of 5 or 6 other teams in the next round of greatness. It all depends on some made-up scale of greatness. When all the scores are 1-0, or 2-1 something has to distinguish the "good" from the "bad."

Evidently, that is the made up scale of greatness. It sounds like something out of The Wizard of Oz and Harry Potter.

You would have to be insane to be a soccer fan.

    1. Just as boring as Ice Soccer. I was going to say "field hockey" but that really is another insipid variation of this kind of pseudo-sport. Your term is better.
