Blackout

Nick Blackburn, just returning from the minors, pitched great last night. He didn't get the win because, as usual the Twins didn't score him any runs. BUT the Twins did win, this time in eleven innings. The final was 2-1.

Joe Mauer went 3-4 last night and the Twins other great player, Josh Willingham singled in Mauer, who had just doubled, with the game winner.

Trevor Plouffe left the game late with a bruised right thumb.

How good was Blackburn? He didn't reach a three ball count on any of the 27 batters he faced. That kind of control is freakishly superhuman.

Jared Burton pitched another inning of shutout ball in relief. That's 14 straight appearances without giving up a run.
