DUI of the Day

This time it's the Titans' Kenny Britt. Since Britt has a history of legal problems, I'm HOPING that for the FIRST time ever, they'll actually punish a player for this crime. Some of Brit's history:

• Outstanding traffic warrrants for false statements on his driver's license application.

• Ticket for driving without a license.

• Lawsuit over his alleged role in a Nashville bar fight.

• Arrest after a car chase.

• Charges for resisting arrest after police confronted him over what they thought was marijuana possession.

My point in these DUI rants has always been the same. The league has always punished players who use drugs that may or may not hurt the player, but they never look at drunk driving seriously. You know the crime that actually, regularly KILLS others. These guys should be punished professionally when these events occur. The crime is serious and if THEY would set the example, maybe just maybe more organizations besides angry mothers would start to follow their lead.
