Observations

The Vikings Stadium Bill vote has been delayed until sometime today. That's not a good sign.

The Vikings have decided their place kicking draft pick is very good. In a surprise move, they sent Ryan Longwell on his way yesterday. Blair Walsh was handed the job outright after three days of showing off his skills at rookie camp this past weekend.

I will at least mention that the Twins lost to Weaver and the Angels again last night. The bright spot? They actually got 6 hits in this game.

  1. I'm wondering what Ziggy thinks about Minnesota informing him he has to pay more money than what was already negotiated.

  2. I'm thinking that was part of the plan all along. Unless of course he doesn't accept the terms and he still takes the team and leaves.

Let's face it. Ziggy is given $220 million a year by the league just for his share of TV revenue. He can probably afford the extra $3 million a year the state is asking.

I think everybody wanted the stadium. Some just wanted to have Ziggy keep offering a little bit more of the costs.

In the end, that was the compromise.
