Not a whole lot has went the Twins way this season, but the good news is that Detroit is having a really bad season as well.
Case in point: The Twins beat them in a brief two game series. I have no hopes for this season, but it's great to see that the Twins may have two very good young pitchers in their rotation. It's also nice to see that when the Twins leave the confines of their cavernous home ballpark that they can actually hit the ball deep.
Perkins got out of early trouble in the eighth and Capps slammed the door.
In a season this bad, all of those things make you realize that baseball can still be fun once in a while.
Yesterday was a day that the Twins and their fans both needed.
