Winning and Losing

Alexi Casilla is not a major league ballplayer. His error in the third inning last night gave the White Sox three unearned runs. It threw off the rhythm of our new starter and changed the rest of the game completely.

It looks like we got killed last night, but that grand slam would not have happened if  Alexi hadn't muffed an easy out in the third. Things like that matter. The difference between winning and losing a game are simple things. This was one of those things, and Alexi does them all the time.

As long as we have Alexi, we will not have a winning ball club. It doesn't matter how good your young pitchers are when you have idiots like Alexi playing behind him.

Gardy used to know things like this. He seems to have forgotten.

Nick Punto made ONE boneheaded play in his entire tenure for the Twins. Alexi makes two or three like that a week. Let's get rid of him and move forward. Or we won't be able to move forward.
