Football

With the Vikings winning and a blizzard blowing outside, it was pretty easy watching lots and lots of football yesterday. I also watched many of the highlight shows.

Seattle was UNREAL yesterday. They didn't just score 58 points, they shut Arizona out. I cannot recall ever seeing or hearing about an NFL game that was that lob-sided.

As much as I hate the Giants, they killed a team that I hate much worse. Drew Brees and New Orleans were absolutely horrible yesterday. The Giants ate them up and spit them out.

RG3 bent his knee way backwards yesterday and still managed to avoid serious injury. An MRI didn't reveal any major problems. If you get a chance to check out the video of that injury, you'll be amazed that it's "just a sprain."

My favorite upset yesterday? Cam Newton and Carolina stuffed the Falcons. I'm so sick of the Falcons barely pulling out victory after victory every single week that it was great seeing them dominated by a team having a truly awful year. Newton is still learning the game but you sure can't deny his athletic ability.

Neither can you deny the athleticism of San Francisco's QB, Colin Kaepernick. Even though the 49ers were winning regularly, they switched quarterbacks fours weeks back and have now won 3 of 4 games with Kaepernick at the helm. He had another RG3-type touchdown run in yesterday's game.

I wonder if San Fran would consider giving us the starter they are no longer using?
