Wolves KO OKC!

I'd LIKE to say that the Wolves played a GREAT game last night, but the best part was that they merely played a good game. (In the first half, Pekovic literally missed half a dozen lay-ups all by himself.)

But in the process of playing a GOOD game they were still more than good enough to knock off division leader OKC (I still love typing that- OKC, OKC, OKC) and end their 12 game winning streak.

This team can compete with some of the big boys now. That in itself was the most pleasing part of watching the game.

And in the crunch, in the fourth quarter, the time when basically all previous T-Wolve games since the beginning of time fall apart, they looked and acted like winners.

Barea got 14 of his 18 points in the fourth, at one point scoring 12 straight points while leaving the stunned Thunder in the dust.

WE BEAT THE TEAM WITH THE BEST RECORD IN THE LEAGUE and we did it going away.

How cool was that? Pretty cool. I have now watched more total minutes of T-Wolve's game this season than all other years combined. AND it's fun!

My favorite quote of the night came from coach Adelman, "I'd like to get to the point where doing this is not a big deal."

That's a coach who has the right perspective. Let's get to the point where playing good games and beating great teams is simply a matter of course.

That this game was NATIONALLY televised last night made the win even sweeter. The pregame was ALL about arguing if OKC (OKC OKC OKC) was the best team in the league right now. The Wolves weren't even mentioned.

Right NOW, the Wolves are best. To paraphrase Ric Flair, "To be the BEST, you have to beat the BEST."

WE BEAT THE BEST.
